100 Days of School
Last week, I think it was last week :), the kids had their 100th day of school. In Alivia's class they had a 100 day celebration. All things 100 all day long. I had been preparing different activity buckets for the kids when I go in to volunteer so I knew what some of the "games" were going to be. Super fun and cute! Each kiddo also had to do a project where they made something with 100 things. Alivia made a paper chain with 100 links. Then they made a museum with all of the projects and the older kids at school came to check out their work. During the activity time they filled out the following worksheet...
I thought it was adorable and I got a good laugh out of it...mostly because, well...she is dead on! :)Tuesday, February 2, 2010
The Month of Visitors
We have several visitors that we will be hosting within these next few weeks. How exciting! TW turned 30 last week and I surprised him by having a couple of his best buddies fly down, along with their families/significant others, for a fun filled weekend. He was definitely surprised. Kyle jumped out of the bushes and scared the heck out of him. It was hilarious!! We went to the Dallas World Aquarium, the Stock Show Rodeo, the Sixth Floor Museum (JFK), and toured the new Cowboys stadium. Plus we managed to show them several of our favorite eateries. Hopefully we didn't add to many inches to their waistline. :) It was such a good time and of course went by extremely quickly! I haven't uploaded the pictures yet (all of us girls are sick so I haven't taken the time), but I will include a few that were taken on my phone.

Addisyn posing as a Cowboys Cheerleader (I did this too, but I will spare y'all the picture)

Tony Romo's locker. Poor picture quality but can you tell TW is growing some facial hair?

Everyone in their boots...these boots are made for walkin...

Ava and Bubby at the Aquarium

Kyle, Anne, and Ava
Next week my parents are making an unexpected visit for a few days. YAYYYYY!!!! We haven't seen them since Thanksgiving. My dad has meetings here and then they will stay to hang out. The kids and I are thrilled! I love that they choose to stay here in our apartment with us! It is cozy, but it is great to have them here!
Then the following weekend our good friends the Sapps are coming down over the long weekend. Their daughter, Sidney, and Alivia have birthdays close to one another so we will all celebrate together. So much fun!
So, as you can see we love to host visitors!!! Question is...when is your visit planned for? *hint hint KK* ;)
