Rambling

UPDATE: Although I have a sweatsuit on today, I do have on a full face of makeup!

I think I mentioned a while back that I had a Mary Kay makeover. I was surprised at how much I loved the colors of their makeup and I ended up investing quite a bit...all worth it though! The gal that is my "Mary Kay Lady" as I refer to her to others, when I am not calling her by name, is the wife of my parent's pilot. On a side note, he is a GREAT pilot. I have this huge fear of flying and because of him much of that has faded. When I usually talk to pilots they laugh at me or downplay my fear, you know like "why are you so scared to fly, it is much safer than driving on the highway?" Captain Kirk has never made me feel that way. He answers every single question I have, and yes there are many. He would probably rather I ride in the very back seat in the plane, but instead I plop myself right in the co-pilot's seat next to him so that I have him to answer any question that may arise. I get to wear the headphones and listen to air traffic control...super cool! I am even starting to learn their "language." Captain Kirk holds a special place in my heart for helping me face my fear. I still HATE to fly commercial, and I have to do that this week. Anyways, this story was about Miss Vicki, his wonderful wife. She is the cutest thing...great hair, of course great makeup, and the cutest clothes...and don't forget her fun personality! I am so silly when it comes to me running into her in public. Because I am the mother of three young children, most days I don't take the time to put on makeup in the morning. It isn't that it takes a lot of time, it just makes for one more mess to clean up because while I am getting ready bubby is in my bathroom with me seeing what all he can discover in the cabinets...so the quicker the better when it comes to getting ready. I don't really think much about the fact that I don't have makeup on throughout the day UNLESS I run into Vicki. My first thought is, "Oh my gosh, I don't have my makeup on!" I feel like she sees my every zit and just wonders why the heck I am not using the product that she sold me. I am sure she doesn't think twice about it, but I find it hilarious that whenever I see her that is my first thought. The even funnier thing...our daughters have dance together on Wednesday afternoons. There have been times when I haven't worn makeup all day and then I suddenly think, "Uhhh, I am going to see Vicki, I better go put that makeup on!" How silly, stupid, annoying, quirky...whatever you want to call it! I just have to laugh at myself. :)

Especially silly since you are so attractive even without your makeup.

You are SO funny! I am in agreement with the make-up, and the cute "Mary Kay Lady"...that party was SO fun! However I learned one rule at that party: Me with lipstick = street walker! =)

PS--> I heart sweatsuits!

I ran into Vicki at Wal-Mart last week. The first words out of my mouth were, "Oh my gosh, it figures I would run into someone I know when I don't have make-up on." She said, "your daughter says the same thing when ever I see her out." How funny is that. You know me, I don't hardly ever, I emphasis EVER, go anywhere without makeup. :)
Love, Mom
