Moms - Sqeezing every last second

On Friday I arrived to pick up Bubby and AKP from Mother's Morning Out at 12:50pm. Their school gets out at 1:00pm. I needed to go in and pick up the car seat that the sitter had left at school because she dropped them off for me. As I pull in to the parking lot I see a couple of moms sitting in their cars. I then start to giggle to myself because I realize that they are waiting until the very last second to go in and get their kiddos. They would hate to not have those last few moments of silence before clocking back in on the mothering time clock. Now, don't get me wrong. I was giggling because I have been that Mom a couple of times. We are so desperate for "me" time sometimes that we are willing to sit in our cars in a parking lot relishing in the last few moments. Don't get me wrong, we LOVE our kids. But, sometimes a silent moment is priceless!

haha i think of it like this... I'm paying for it so they are going to stay there for every last possible second. LOL. although, I did pick Audrey up at 12:45 the other day.

Oh that's cute, especially in the toddler years. I have to admit, I sit in silence in the PK line sometimes thinking just a few more minutes until 3:45 ahhhhhh
