Sick of Being Sick

We have two of our three kiddos sick. It seems like there hasn't been a week I can remember where all of us were healthy. Hopefully with Spring around the corner the sicknesses will decrease. AKP started a cough, runny nose, watery eyes, and fever on Wed. She is getting better slowly. Our little bubby now has it the worst. On Friday he started getting the cough and yesterday he had a lot of congestion down in his lungs. I could feel his chest crackle and he started running a fever. I have been through RSV (for all of you who don't have small children this is basically a cold in babies that can be potentially life threatening) with AKP when she was 6 weeks old so I was starting to get worried. I paged our doctor and he had me meet him at his office. Keep in mind this was at 8:00pm on a Saturday night! I could go on and on about how great of a doctor he is! We switched to him after AKP was born and I feel extremely blessed to have him taking care of my little ones. He is phenomenal! Anyways...after he listened to JDP's chest he said that he had RSV but his oxygen levels were normal; he is just having to work harder to breathe. We gave him a breathing treatment in the office and then I came home with some medicine to continue the breathing treatments at home. I wanted to have a picture to post of him with the little mask that he wears for the breathing treatments, but our camera is out of batteries. They make the little mask look like a fish. It is pretty cute. So, for now I am helping our little guy fight this thing off. He can't comfortable enough to sleep so I have been doing a lot of holding and rocking. I have been successful at getting him to sleep in his bed at night though so that is good. I will keep you posted on his progress!
